The children of Hogar de Esperanza are back to school. The long list of school supplies were gathered, uniforms sized and backpacks filled. Most of our children are attending Betania, a christian school that now uses our Rancho building, which sits in front of the orphanage. This has helped reduce our transportation costs for the orphanage and it’s great to have volunteers walking to school with our children each morning and afternoon. We have 11 students enrolled in our on-campus school, Escuela de Miller. Students are gaining life skills and catching up from years without an education. Several of the Escuela de Miller students are also a part of our vocational program a few days per week.

Richard Hardy, from To Every Nation , returned home after their group trip in March and couldn’t get one little boy out of his mind. This often happens to visitors and volunteers – a connection we pray leads to bringing the child a forever family through adoption. Please pray as Richard’s daughter and son-in-law begin the process to adopt this little boy from our orphanage.

The costs per month to house, feed, clothe and educate the 48 children who call Hogar de Esperanza their home has increased greatly. Along with providing water to over 2,000 individuals and ministering to the community in need, we can no longer cover this cost. If 200 people would join us in giving $50 per month, we would be close to covering the needs of the orphanage. It is critical in this time, and I ask you to search your heart to see what you can give to continue the work being done in Peru. We offer an automatic withdrawal giving program for your convenience. Please consider supporting this ministry on a monthly basis! Email me to request more information or visit our web page to donate securely online. We need your help more than ever! Que Dios le bendiga!
