Farewell to Elizabeth Bayly!

One of the blessings here that not only makes the day to day schedule of the orphanage function, but also brings extra abundances of Love, Joy and Patience to the orphanage is the team of volunteers. The team, both the current and those from years past, make so many activities, outings, and fun moments possible for our children. This month we’d like to say a special thank you to Elizabeth Bayly. She is a long term volunteer that has gone above and beyond the normal attitude of servant hood of our volunteers. Despite being young and not yet a mother, she accepted the challenge of living with and raising 6 little girls in one of our houses. For about a month she filled in with them full time – meals, homework, free time, bed time – everything. Not only did she do it with a great attitude and a smile, but she was full of energy and constantly coming up with activities to make happy memories with our girls. We are so grateful for her time here and all she gave of herself. She heads home in early May and will be missed by all.

A Gift for the Tesoros!

Thanks to a donation the Tesoros house was able to receive new mattress. The Tesoros is the little boys’ house, and the new mattresses were definitely needed. It has been a huge blessing for the whole house. We are so grateful to those who made this possible!

Our New Volunteer Coordinator

Our team of volunteers has a new leader. Stephanie Garcia is the new coordinator for our volunteer team. After living here 9 months, she has decided to sign on for another year. She has shown wonderful qualities of leadership, love and a servant’s attitude. We are all excited about her extended time here and the ways she will lead our volunteers.

Please Pray For Hogar de Esperanza

Every month, if not every day, here in the orphanage has its difficulties. Any parent out there will attest to the difficulty of the job. Raising 30+ children is no easy task, and April proved to be full of difficult decisions and situations in the live our children. Though we walk in faith that the Lord’s mercies are new every morning (and month), we ask for your continued prayer for our orphanages, the staff raising these children, and the hearts of each and every one of our kids.

A few specific prayer needs include:

  • Wisdom for the parenting team here in the face of behavioral difficulties.
  • The interviews for new personnel would bring the right candidates.
  • The children waiting here for forever families would be united with a family that loves them.
