Visitors

In December we were blessed with so many visits. We had a church group from Michigan come out and wash down all the houses. They worked hard all morning, leaving the houses looking as if they were freshly painted. Then in the afternoons they had a special time with the kids where they shared their testimonies, Bible studies, Christmas crafts and gifts with all our kids. We also had almost 10 groups from here in Trujillo come out and do special activities with our kids. Each group brought something new and different for our kids. They had Paneton (a very traditional Christmas treat here in Peru – similar to fruit cake), hot chocolate, clowns, Santa Clauses and presents. They were all a source of lots of joy for our kids this holiday season.

Welcome Back Bekah!

A few years back we were blessed to have a long term volunteer, Bekah Rust, who is also a talented artist. Along with leaving her mark on the hearts of our children, she left her mark on the walls of our houses and kinder room. All our houses, the chapel and the kinder room all have beautiful murals thanks to the talent God has given her. She returned for a short visit at the end of November with a few friends and family members. It was a treat to have her back here visiting. Along with hugging on the children, she painted us a beautiful mural in our cafeteria.

Thank You!

Once again we are truly thankful for all of the volunteers and supporters. The time you take out of your own life makes a lifelong positive difference for our children…Thank You!
