Music Brings Rewards!

Congratulations to volunteer Whitney Munn, who directed Yameli, Consuelo, Jennifer, Lariza, Esthefany, Carolay, Cristina, Aldair, Dante, Yuriko, and Heydi in song and music! After hard work and dedication, the group took first place in a city-wide Christmas music competition and won a guitar!

Volunteers in the U.S.

Elizabeth Hyatt did a wonderful job serving the orphanage as on-site Volunteer Coordinator in 2011. When she returned home to the U.S. in November, the children, staff and volunteers were sad to see her leave. However, her passion for orphan care did not cease. Elizabeth is now volunteering with our supporting organization, Corazón de Esperanza, as the new Volunteer Alumni Coordinator. She will be working with volunteers on the U.S. side of this ministry to coordinate speaking engagements, fundraising events and to help share our ministry with others.

Christmas Cheer

Throughout the weeks of the Christmas season, our children were blessed with visits from local and foreign groups who come to share paneton, hot chocolate, gifts and their love. To Every Nation brought Santa Clause (Richard Hardy) to visit, blessing the children with gifts and shoes. A dear friend of the orphanage, Gordon Tanner, blessed our children with new bibles, pajamas and clothing for our teenagers! Several other groups and visitors gave gifts, spent time playing and hugging our children. A big thanks to each of you for your time, compassion and love of our children!

Que Dios los bendiga,
