For those of you who have parented or have any dealings with teenagers, you probably understand the challenges of raising youth during these modern times. At the orphanage, some children who have been with us for many years are now reaching their teenage years. We are encountering new challenges as these children begin to grow up. High school isn’t easy and their school work is more demanding. Their bodies are changing, they are beginning to explore independence, deal with their past, and seriously look at what God can do in their future. The staff and volunteers are working with these teens to develop their characters, discover their talents and abilities and help them heal from the wounds of their past. It’s a new territory for us. We ask for your prayers as we continue to develop programs for our teenagers, begin to disciple them and train our workers for this task. If you have any books, training or spiritual literature on raising teens, please send me an email with the information. We pray daily for God to guide us and give us wisdom as we disciple these teens to become men and women of God.

The Hatfield and McCoy saga seems to be coming to a resolution. The Hatfields currently do not have any water on their property and, to obtain water, they have to cross the Pan American Highway to fill their buckets. But a solution is coming. The Peruvian Government is doing road repairs on the highway and this is allowing the Hatfields to put in their own water pipe across the Pan Ameician. We have worked with them and have installed half of the lines. This month we hope to finish the other half. When we complete the pipeline, the two groups will have independent service and a final resolution, hopefully, will be reached.

We continue to ask you to consider the possibility of donating to our ministry on a monthly basis. Just $50 per month or $25 per month can make the difference in the life of a child. Your monthly offering brings a child off the streets of Peru and provides them a home, food, education and allows them to experience the love of God. You can be a vital part of changing the life of a child. Please use our “Donate Now” button to securely donate online or request more information about our giving program by emailing me directly.

Que Dios le bendiga,
May God bless you,
